Don’t Forget Your Podcast Swimmies!

I am Jessica Rhodes here to help you rock the podcast from both sides of the mic. Filming an episode here in the pool and because I love a good analogy, I wanted to send this message in this episode that when you start a podcast or when you start videos …

Nathan: Why you say message?

Because when you have a podcast, you have a message. You were not going to be very good at the beginning. That’s one of the big tips that I’ve been telling people a lot when they start their podcast that you’re not going to be very good when you start out. When Nathan first got in the pool, he could not swim. Could you swim? He couldn’t, but now he can because he got swimmies.

When you start a podcast, you will get better when you get help from other people. When you hire an editor, when you hire a producer, when you hire a virtual assistant, when you hire interview connections to get you booked and find guest. When you get help from something or someone, you will get better at what you’re trying to do.

Nathan, we were working on swimming and then grandma pulled out this swimmies and then could you swim? Now look at him. He’s going across the pool and I’m not even holding him and he’s like totally good and soon that will give him the confidence to do it on his own. Don’t worry if you’re not good at the beginning, get help, outsource, get those swimmies on and you will be so much better after that.
