How I Get it All Done

Starting a business is a lot of work! At the outset, we see all these successful entrepreneurs and podcasters living the dream; they take a vacation whenever they want, they’re location independent, and their income reports are off the charts!

We don’t see all the long and hard hours, sweat, and tears (not to mention money!) they put into building their platform.

I work with many new podcast hosts who, once starting their show, quickly get overwhelmed at how much work it is, and the question arises: How do I get it all done?

As an entrepreneur who has built a business that is close to generating six figures after only one year, I have some tips for you on how to get it all done!

  1. Sleep a little less if you have to! Listen, folks, no one said this was going to be easy. If it were easy, everybody would be rich and successful! I frequently set my alarm to wake up before the baby (and if you have kids, you know babies wake up early!)  so I can get a ton of work done before the sun comes up. Burn the midnight oil and work into the night. Know that you will not have as much free time early on.
  2. Invest. Invest in your business with the right equipment, be it a fast and new computer, quality podcast equipment, or an office space outside the home (in my case, we bought a house with three bedrooms because I love to work from home!). The number 1 reason my business is close to hitting six figures after only one year is that I invested in business coaching and masterminding. Don’t be afraid to take risks by using some savings to pay for this or put it on a credit card. Wealth rewards risk.
  3. Outsource. As soon as you can outsource some of your business’s tasks, you can focus more on high revenue-generating activities.
